Join the ANCHOR Lab

The ANCHOR Lab studies assessment, psychological needs, competencies, and resilience in people and organizations. Students work on real research projects, from designing studies to analyzing data.

What lab members do

  • Help design surveys, experiments, and assessments on topics like leadership, motivation, burnout, and training
  • Collect and manage data, including studies run in the College of Business Behavioral Lab at the Coastal Institute
  • Learn to analyze data in R or SPSS, and help write up results for conferences and journals
  • Meet regularly with Dr. Hanson and other lab members to discuss research

URI students can join for course credit through MGT 491 (Directed Study) or as volunteers. No prior research experience is needed; curiosity, reliability, and attention to detail matter most. Graduate students interested in research collaboration are welcome to apply too.
